Water Sense Technology

Our Aquia IV dual-flush toilet is an excellent example of a high-efficiency bathroom fixture. It requires only 1.28 gallons of water per flush. This is less than 1.6 grams required to meet EPA standards. The Aquia IV features TOTO TORNADO FLUSH technology, which decreases the frequency of bowl cleaning and the need for extra flushes.

One-Piece or Two-Piece Design

Toto was formed in the early 70s by members who had performed session work for a variety of famous musicians. In addition to their music, Toto has done a significant amount of touring over the years. In February of 2018 they released their 40 Trips Around The Sun anniversary album and began a world tour to promote the album.

Prior to forming Toto, members of the band, including bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro played as session musicians on many albums for famous artists such as Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. Keyboardist David Paich was a regular session musician for artists like the Eagles, Larry Carlton, and Quincy Jones.

In the years following Toto's debut album, the band struggled to achieve success and went through a string of changes in members. Then, Hungate left the band in 1980 to pursue an independent career in Nashville. His departure was due to a lack of time for his family and a growing addiction to drugs. The band's final success was dependent on Lukather and Steve Porcaro.

Following the release of Toto IV, the band began to tour extensively. In 1985, vocalist Fergie Frederiksen was fired because she reportedly had a hard time meshing with the rest of the group. Toto released Fahrenheit in 1986, a year after recording Fahrenheit.

The album was an departure from the previous songs of the band, incorporating elements of jazz and gospel. It wasn't a commercial success in North America, but did well in Japan. In 1987, Toto played the Montreux Jazz Festival and continued to tour. At this point the bassist David Hungate left the band to concentrate on his session and production career. He was replaced by vocalist/guitarist Steve Lukather.
